The project “Education Saving Lives” addressed the lack of sufficient breast cancer training among medical professionals by providing specialized trainings to 130 general practitioners, gynecologists, nurses, psychologists and social workers in São Paulo.
- Through a partnership with Gynecology and Senology Institute and General Electric, the project conducted a workshop that trained gynecologists and general practitioners on reading mammograms and using the BI-RADS system.
- Doctors and nurses also received training on CBE, and psychologists and social workers participated in workshops on Breast Self-Awareness and breaking down barriers to early detection.

The project also partnered with Fundação Oncocentro de São Paulo to include cervical cancer prevention and early detection training.

- Additional partners included the Israeli Institute for Social Responsibility and the Israeli Institute for Education and Research, who awarded their health professionals medical continuing education credits for attending the course.
