The Global Initiative in Jordan was very fortunate to have the support of the Royal Family as well as the Ministry of Health. HRH Princess Dina Mired is Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and is the Honorary Chairperson of the National Breast Cancer Committee and the Executive Board. Her attendance at the CFTC graduation ceremony was very meaningful to participants and the Global Initiative.

• 89 participants graduated from Course for the Cure™ in Jordan.
• At the conclusion of the Global Initaitive and Course for the Cure™ in Jordan in 2009, JBCP decided to focus in Amman and Balqa, launching the Community Educator Program and supporting ongoing outreach efforts there, which would complement a medical component planned there.
• At the program’s end, JBCP announced its intention to continue to engage Global Initiative graduates in Irbid and Zarqa during the March and October campaigns.
