Hadassah Panama Breast Cancer Walk

For the first time in Panama the organization Hadassah Panama organized a walk on October 28, 2010 in Panama City to coincide with the Komen Israel Race for the Cure®. The 3-kilometer walk took place along the Cinta Costera – Coastal Boardwalk—and was followed by a presentation of images from the race in Israel. Hadassah Panama sponsored ten Global Initiative network members in Panama to enter the walk. The organization has expressed that they would like any proceeds from the walk to go to the Global Initiative program in Panama to fund mammograms for women participating in one of our six community projects taking place in the provinces of Panama, Veraguas and Cocle.
