Working with Health Professionals Project

The leader of this project, a nurse in a local health center, received a 2010 Community Grant to provide breast health workshops to medical professionals in the province of Cocle.

• The project provided breast health workshops for 14 local health professionals and 100 women of the community over 20 years old who attend the local health center.
• A network of community breast health promoters was formed through workshop participants.
• Clinical breast exams were made available to women of the community.
• The project leaders collaborated with local government authorities, companies, and NGO institutions.
