Improving Clinical Breast Exams

Return to Ukraine page

Sufficient training for health professionals in breast cancer and clinical breast exams (CBE) has been identified in many different Global Initiative community profiles as a strong barrier to early detection of breast cancer. In Ukraine, Community Grant projects have focused their energy on this issue and have trained more than 300 health professionals in proper CBE techniques. These health professionals have screened more than 14,000 women for breast cancer.
